Our Favorite Korean Face Washes for Dry Skin
Finding a great cleanser for dry skin isn’t always easy. You need your skin to be clean, but not too clean. Thankfully, Korean beauty brands offer us plenty in the way of facewashes and cleansers that can get your dry skin clean without stripping it of the necessary oils it needs to be healthy. Along with a full multi-step korean skincare routine, a korean cleanser is the perfect addition to keep your skin healthy.
Many korean skincare routines use one or two cleansers, one being an oil cleanser, which is great for dry skin, and the next being a finishing cleanser. Cleansing oils are great at removing makeup, while foaming or gel cleansers are great at removing all traces of dirt. You can choose to use either one or both depending on the needs of your dry skin.
MIZON Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser
This is a great korean cleanser for dry skin. It clears out all traces of dirt and makeup while still leaving behind moisturized skin. Its mild and soft, and the snail extracts in it (you can say ew, but it works!) filter out the impurities from your skin, along with green tea which provides antioxidants.
The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam
This cleansing foam by the Face Shop detoxifies, brightens, and moisturizes at the same time. Of course, you should still moisturize your skin after use, but you don’t want to dry it out with the cleanser. It’s rich in vitamins and prevents your skin from getting too dry. Estheticians love this face wash!
The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Light Oil
Another hit by the Face Shop, this one is a light cleansing oil. This can also be used in conjunction with the cleanser above if needed. It has rice water and moringa oil which is said to be a great detoxifier according to beauty experts. Beauty bloggers (including myself) go crazy for this korean cleanser!
The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Foam in Aloe
We can’t help but include a third cleanser from The Face Shop korean beauty brand, because they seriously have some of our favorite products, especially for dry and sensitive skin. This Aloe cleanser calms the skin and removes all impurities. It’s actually perfect for all skin types, so even if your skin isn’t particularly dry, this is a great one to add to your kit.
Missha Super Aqua Refreshing Cleansing Foam
This gentle cleansing foam is almost a perfect 5 star product. It’s known for its rich bubbles which gently remove your makeup and clear your skin of all other impurities. Its ingredients include Willow Bark Extract, better known as witch hazel, which is also said to have great anti bacterial properties. Try this korean brand cleanser if you also want to keep acne at bay.
Etude House Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam
This is a korean exfoliating cleansing foam that should only be used once or twice a week due to its exfoliating properties. Take this advice and be even more careful with your use of this if your skin is especially dry. If it’s only mildly dry, you might get away with more regular use of this product. The addition of baking soda makes it a fantastic, slightly re-texturizing cleanser that will clean your face and remove dead skin cells, which are a big cause of dry looking skin.
This isn’t a definitive list, but is definitely a great place to start when looking for a better cleanser to add to your korean beauty routine for your dry skin. We also recommend trying many of the korean oil cleansers on the market (there are a ton!) to find your perfect pick!
